Hershey is like no other place I have ever visited, hence why it’s called “the sweetest place on earth”. There is literally an ode to chocolate at every turn. From the street lights shaped like Hershey’s Kisses, to the complimentary chocolate bar we received when we arrived at the Hershey Lodge, every detail was perfect and special. And, with several amazing places to explore and unique experiences you can only find in Hershey, it is definitely a must-see place for every family.
If you’ve been racking your brain for an extra special place to take your family this year on a vacation, look no further that Hershey. It won’t disappoint.
So, come along with me, as I recollect our quick and unforgettable trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania. I’ll share with you where we stayed, where we ate, and the experiences that made this trip absolutely amazing.
As we rounded the bluff that sunny blue skyed October day, The Ocean House stood tall with grandeur before us. Sparkling waves, and heaping colorful flowers swaying in the cool ocean breezes, were the backdrop for the yellow mansion that awaited us. I was instantly enamoured with this place as we were led into our balcony suite overlooking the Atlantic. This was Rhode Island at its finest. And, this was my dream New England Beach Getaway….
Have you ever dreamt of going on an epic road trip? Just getting behind the wheel, hitting the open road, and discovering new adventures along the way? Well, a couple of years ago, my hubby and I did just that. We embarked on the road trip of a lifetime through New England, and made so many memories together.
Today on the blog, I’ll share with you the 5 simple…but very important…steps we took to plan our epic road trip. So, buckle up and grab a pen and paper. Let’s dream and plan your epic road trip together.
As Thanksgiving Day preparations are in full swing at our house, I can’t help but think about the very first Thanksgiving. On our recent Road Trip through New England, we spent a day exploring the rich history in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It was an unforgettable day, and definitely a must for anyone’s bucket list. I’d like to take you on a tour with me today of Plimouth Plantation, The Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock, Burial Hill, the Monument to the Forefathers, and more!
So, pull up a comfy chair, grab a pumpkin spice latte or hot cider, and take this trip with me back to the beginning of America and our very First Thanksgiving! The turkey day prep can wait a little while longer!
I’ve been promising to share the details of our New England Road Trip with you, and here it is…the first of many posts about this awesome trip! This Road Trip ended up being the pinnacle of our Pre-Baby Bucket List Busting Year! Friends and family were so excited to share in this, and travel with us via social media, on our 8 state, 13 day, 3000+ mile journey through New England. I had friends begging me to share with them the itinerary and the details, on none other than a blog such as this, and here we are finally! So, let’s talk about our unforgettable day in Rhode Island. Enjoy…
Last September…I can’t believe it’s already been a year…we were invited to tag along on a quick weekend trip to Chicago to celebrate our niece, Natalie’s, 8th birthday. There’s so much to see and do in Chicago! We LOVE the Windy City. Here’s what we did during this special weekend in Chi Town…
Last year (2015), was what I consider to be my “Bucket List Busting Year”. After suffering a miscarriage the year before after 5 long years of infertility, I was approaching 2015 thinking it was going to be one of the worst years of my life. The constant reminders of what could have been were always on my mind.
I thought I would spend most of that year caught up in pregnancy reminders from apps on my phone, & devastated at every Thursday that passed as I counted down the weeks to my impending “almost” due date, July 4th.
Instead, much to my surprise, I had one of the best years of my life thanks to the Grace of God and the prayers of family and friends.
My Journey to Mommyhood has been long and hard. Patience, after all, is not one of my virtues. (Clearly God is trying to teach me a lesson on that!) ?
But, one thing I’ve learned along the way, is not to put things off for your fertility…
My husband and I were married on a crisp fall day in northern Michigan on a little island off the coast of Lake Huron called Mackinac Island. We planned our destination wedding in just 6 short weeks! I’ve listed our island vendors at the end of this post with links, along with bloopers from our big day!
There are many photos to enjoy along the way, so grab your latte, start some Michael Buble Love Songs on your Pandora radio, get comfy, and join me as I reminisce about our special day many Octobers ago…
