Magnolia Market Christmas

I could not contain my excitement a couple months ago, when I saw the unveiling of the Magnolia Market Christmas Home Collection. I think my husband thought something very serious had happened, because I shrieked with excitement so abruptly.

I absolutely love Chip & Joanna Gaines.  I love their spirit, their family life, their philosophy…basically everything about them.  I want to be them!

Their home improvement show on HGTV called Fixer Upper, has completely transformed how I view decorating my own home.  Adding a little country vintage flare here and there, and including chalkboard elements a barn door and some shiplap are a Fixer Upper must.

If you’ve never heard of this adorable couple, then…

“Pardon My French Door, But Holy Shiplap…You’re Life Is About To Be Changed Forever!”

I dream about visiting the Gaines’ at the Silos, their shop in Waco, Texas, and buying every knick knack and accessory I could possibly ever want.  It would definitely be a bucket list decorating adventure.

But, until that day, I’ll have to settle for ordering items online at the Magnolia Market.

The Christmas collection is stunning and I have quite a list already started for Santa.  I don’t think he’d mind making a quick stop in Texas for me, do you think?  I’m sure Chip & Joanna are on the “Nice List”.

Here’s a small sampling of some of the items I’ve been drooling over.  Maybe it will inspire a new view on your own Christmas decor.

So, pull up a chair and get comfy….no cowboy boots required. Let’s get to decorating dreaming together at Magnolia Market….

There we go.  I don’t think my wishlist is too long for Santa, do you?!  I think all of these items would fit nicely on his sleigh. ?

I love adding farm-house Christmas style to my home around the holidays, especially. This laid back, confortable style speaks to me on so many levels.

I absolutely love anything that even remotely resembles a chalkboard….probably because I was a teachers kid! ? One day I’d love to add a Barn style door to my laundry room and make it more of a mud room, and then paint a chalkboard wall for family notes and such! (Shhh!  Don’t tell the hubby!  That’ll be a big Honey To Do List/Project!) ?

But until the day I have my very own chalkboard wall, I try to incorporate chalkboard accessories around my house. I love the chalkboard details from Magnolia Market.  The “Good Tidings” wooden sign & the “Merry Christmas” tin tags are super duper adorable.  Couldn’t you just picture those cute tin tags entwined in a beautiful ribbon adorning a pile of beautifully wrapped gifts beneath your tree?!  That would be perfect!

The introduction of word art to home Decor, has taken the world by storm, hasn’t it?  Signs and palettes and so on drizzled around your home with some of your favorite words or verses on them, really personalize your space.  I love to use words in various locations and on different surfaces in my home… like on a banner strung across the fireplace mantle, or on pillows, or maybe on ribbons or ornaments on the tree.  Seeing your favorite aspirations or words of encouragement throughout your home, will truly make the space your own, and add visual interest for your guests.

Including natural elements like tiny evergreen trees wrapped in burlap around your home will up the “Christmas farm house” feel for sure.  And, adding rustic textured pieces will continue the theme…like twigs, berries, eucalyptus or other greenery, and metal and wood pieces like some of Joanna’s tin signs, for instance.  Mix and match textures and materials to achieve that designer look we all hope and strive for.

It’s no secret if you watch Fixer Upper, that Joanna love, love, loves vintage pieces.  Adding some vintage items, like an old sled or her vintage inspired throw pillows to your space, will give you the Joanna style you admire.

I also love how she adds a touch of childhood whimsy to her designs as well, like the “Christmas Trees For Sale” sign available at her online market.  I’ve seen pictures of Joanna and her kiddos baking in her farm-style vintage kitchen, with that same sign hanging above her cabinetry.  I love how it adds some fun and a pop of color.

There were several other pieces that have sold out already.  I guess next year I’ll have to get to ordering a little bit sooner, huh?!

My Wishlist for next Christmas…
