It’s been a relaxing day around our house.  There is snow falling gracefully outside, and a pot of chicken tortialla soup is simmering on the stove.  I decided to dive back into my Powersheets Goal Planner today.  I marked the progress I made in Janaury and finalized “my plan” for February.  I’ll show you my goal progress from last month at the end of this post, but for now let’s focus on the days ahead.

I am loving the color coordination stickers this year.  Lara’s newest goal planning sticker book makes color coordinating my priorities super easy and the stickers add pops of personality to my Tending List page shown above.  Let’s look at my Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Goals for this month.

Monthly Goals

One of my big picture goals for this year is to cultivate a deeper, richer relationship with my husband.  So, top of my monthly goals this month is to plan a super fun date night.  A new restaurant opened up near up that offer freshly made donuts, burgers, and other delicacies that I think he’d enjoy as well as ax throwing so he can discover his inner lumberjack.

Another focus of mine this month is to simplify.  I’ve been reading a new book by Emily Ley called “A Simplified Life”.  It totally goes along with my hygge-wanna-be-groove I’m going for these days.  Slowly but surely I’m making my way around our house, decluttering and simplifying our spaces so we can create the cozy home of our dreams.

I have vacation time scheduled at the end of this month, so I’m hoping to plan an adventure for Adam and me to enjoy together.  We love traveling, and often times last minute trips or staycations are the most fun.

On the business side of things, I’ve set a goal to create my first Mommy Masterclass where I will teach new mommies and daddies Baby Basics to prepare them for parenthood.  I’ve been chatting with my email subscribers about these upcoming courses and am excited to finally offer these valuable classes.

“Refinance our House” has been on the top of my list for month’s now.  Sometimes goals that seem scary or too big a task for me to tackle on my own get pushed from month to month.   Well, the buck stops here with this one this month.  We have some major house projects to accomplish this spring {hence why the next goal as to do with house repairs} and my husband is always looking at the numbers, so refinancing is at the top of our to-do list.

OK, so have you heard of the Tyme Iron?  I love the look of beachy waves but quite frankly, creating that look with naturally curly hair can be challenging.  So, another goal this month is to master a new hairstyle routine, and finally purchase a Tyme Iron to see if it really makes my hair routine less time-consuming in the morning.  I’ll let you know it goes.

Write the Word Bible Journals

Another thing I’m hoping to purchase this month is a Write The Word Journal from the Lara Casey Shop where I bought this amazing goal planner.  I want to work through the “Hope” journal over the next several weeks, but Lara offers several different ones like Joy and Gratitude.  Click the photo below to learn more!

And last but certainly not least, on the agenda this month, is to get Adam some new glasses (exciting, right?) and ordering my Gramma’s Heritage photo album from Artifact Uprising.  The Heritage Album has been a work in progress for many weeks as a gift to my Gramma who just turned 95.  She gathered up many of her photos and wrote me about each one of them and why they were special to her.  Her heritage album will be a priceless keepsake when I finally finish it.

One of the many things that make this Goal Planner so productive is that it helps me break down my big goals into smaller more achievable goals like Weekly and Daily Goals.

Weekly Goals

My Weekly Home Blessings have been hit or miss lately.  I’m hoping that one day it won’t need to be on the Monthly Goals list because it will be more routine in our home.  To find out more about my cleaning routine, click here.

This month I am starting a new healthy eating journey as part of my healing process.  It was recommended that I start this anti-inflammatory diet by my naturopathic doctor in hope to be able to get pregnant on our own.  In order to make that happen, meal planning and food prep is a must so I’m building it into my routine.  I’ve been at it for a few days and so far it’s going well.

Another activity recommended by my doctor was gentle yoga.  So, on this month’s goal list I’ve included the 3 Week Yoga Retreat by Beachbody that I saw on a post-New Years Resolution infomercial.  I can’t wait to learn more about this restorative and relaxing exercise.  Any yogis out there??

We’ve started weekly budget meetings where we discuss our money, bills, savings, etc.  Money is still a huge source of frustration in our marriage as it is in most, I’m sure.  I’ve been wanting to put together a Budget Binder to hold all of our notes about our finances.  Fingers crossed this is the month I actually “getter done”.

I had the privilege of connecting with some other like-minded bloggers in a Facebook group recently. A goal of mine this month is to cultivate those relationships and learn more about running a website and business from these inspirational ladies.

A friend of mine mentioned that every Sunday night she enjoys a face mask and a bath bomb to finish the week well.  I thought, “how very hyggelig of her.  I should add that to my weekly routine to add a little more Danish tradition into my own life” and so here it is.  It’s made my goals list.  What a nice goal to have.  A trip to LUSH is in order.

Daily Goals

I wanted to keep my daily goals simple this month.  First on the list is my new eating plan which is taking up a lot of brain space right now.  Low carb, gluten-free, and macros are all terms that I’ve found myself saying so much over the last few days.  I can’t wait to see how this new healthy way of eating will change my life.

I’m also focusing on building home tasks {that I otherwise usually detest} into my daily routine…things like doing the dishes and cleaning the bathrooms.  I can’t wait to see the peace and cleanliness these simple routines will bring to our space.

Spending quality time with Adam made the daily list again.  This is always important and slightly embarrassing that it needs to be added to a list.  But, we’re talking real life here.  So often our faces are glued to a screen when we’re together or we’re caught up in other tasks.  This is just a simple reminder to give him the undivided attention that he deserves and needs.

Just recently I received several emails from a reader who was thoroughly enjoying the 14 Day Hygge Challenge.  I launched my very first ebook last month about this cozy concept, and it was amazing to hear back from a special reader about how she and her husband are enjoying the simple things and learning to rest and relax.  I decided to take my own Hygge Challenge after reading her emails.  I’ve been a ball of nerves and stress these last few weeks {launching a book is hard!!}.  So I think it’s about time that I take a dose of my own medicine, and examine where I can add more coziness, simplicity, and purpose into my life. How about you?  Would you like to learn more about this concept?  Join the FREE challenge below!!

Well, there you have it, my Powersheet Goals for February.  Where are you in your prep for this month?  Do you need a little inspiration, do you feel stuck?  I hope my goals serve as some inspiration for you and get your wheels turning about ways to improve your life too.  Let me know if there is any way I can help you go after your good goals.  My email is always open at stephanie.latteslilacsandlullabies.com.

Oh, I almost forgot, here’s a peek at my January Tending List.  I made some good progress, but my main goal for the month was to launch “The Simple Guide To Living Hygge”.  Remember, we’re focusing on progress not perfection.

What did you accomplish in January?  Let’s make 2018 the best year yet!!
