There’s a new restaurant in town called Sedona Taphouse.  We noticed it while driving home one night, and decided to check it out.  Not only do they have Cactus Lemonade, 200+ beers on tap, award-winning clam chowder, and salted caramel cheesecake.  But, they also offer a “Steak Out For Charity” special every Monday night where you get black angus steak, for only $7 and all proceeds go to a local charity.  A delicious dinner that’s helping to support a local need, that’s also affordable…what could be better than that?!

Here’s the details of our “Steak Out For Charity” Date Night at Sedona Taphouse, plus a bonus recipe at the end for Cactus Lemonade you can make yourself at home.  Enjoy!

We are always looking for new restaurants, activities, and experiences to try, to keep Date Nights interesting and fun.  So, when we noticed recently that a new restaurant had opened near our home, we decided to check it out.

We perused the menu online to get an idea of what to order when we got there, and discovered that they have a unique special on Monday nights called “Steak Out For Charity”.

The restaurant offers an 8 oz. Black Angus Steak, served with garlic mashed potatoes for $7 on Monday’s (with the purchase of a beverage).  This juicy steak is normally $18….so we couldn’t resist the great price.

Plus, we found out, that the proceeds from our meal would go to a local charity.  January’s charity is, Blessings in a Backpack, which feeds south-east Michigan school children on the weekends.

If you enjoy beer, Sedona Taphouse has you covered.  With 200+ beers, there are plenty to choose from to accompany your meal.  But, if you’re not into beer, there’s plenty of other beverages to strike your fancy.

The Cactus Lemonade is non-alcoholic and deee-licious.  We steer clear from alcohol, so we really appreciate it when a restaurant takes the time to offer specialty drinks we can enjoy.

The Cactus Lemonade is made with prickly pear, pineapple, and Lemonade.  It’s lip-smacking, pucker-up-buttercup good! ?

Our steak was grilled to perfection, and served over mashed potatoes. But, if you’re not a meat and potatoes kinda gal, Sedona Taphouse has a complete menu offering tacos, sliders, and flatbreads, and many other menu options, including a gluten-free menu.

We completed our date night with something sweet from the dessert menu.  We ordered the delectable Salted Caramel Cheesecake, as suggested by our waitress.  It was scrumptious, and reminded us a lot of another favorite caramel dessert.
