Every season, I love to visit Pottery Barn and gasp in awe at their beautiful home decor.  In the past I’ve shared with you some Christmas Decor & Fall Decor, but today it’s time to lighten things up a bit with Spring Decorating!  From basket-weave textures, to aquamarine votives, to terrarium gardens, & succulent walls….it’s all here!

So, pull up a chair, and grab your cappuccino, and enjoy this springtime tour of Pottery Barn.

Succulents, Succulents Everywhere!

First of all, let’s gaze in amazement at this succulent wall….

I love the pop of color and simplicity that succulents and other greenery add to a home, especially this time of year.  But, I never thought of adding succulents to a wall.  So, I began researching and what I found was beyond amazing.

Apparently, succulent walls are very popular on Pinterest.  In fact, Balcony Garden Web offers a fantastic tutorial on how to grow your own vertical succulent wall using the Grovert Wall Planter that you can Get Here on Amazon or at their website.  You could create a masterpiece like this one here, pictured on Pinterest….

Heart Be Still!!  I’m in love!

But, if you lack a “green thumb” and don’t have the patience or the craftiness to make your own, you can purchase faux succulent walls like this one at Pottery Barn.  Or, you can enjoy this Blue Succulent Wall and/or this Pink/Purple Succulent Wall for only $28 from Amazon!  I think they are super cute, easy, and affordable!

And, if you are looking for succulents to display on your coffee table, check out these adorable faux succulents wrapped in burlap. I think these are perfect for any Joanna Gaines’ wanna-be farmhouses.  Don’t you?

If you enjoy succulents as much as I do, check out this DIY Succulents Book, with 35+ projects you can make using succulents…including a wreath which I think is a stunning spring decoration.

Terrariums & Faux Flowers

While we are on the subject of succulents, let’s also talk about this trend I’ve noticed at Pottery Barn for quite some time now…the glass terrarium.  They are a beautiful decoration for a coffee table, console table, etc.  Add a few succulents or faux flowers with decorative stones in them, and the terrariums become an even more beautiful focal point.

The terrariums at Pottery Barn can be expensive. They are anywhere from $60-90 dollars.  They are gorgeous, but not worth that price tag, in my opinion.

So, I decided to search for a less expensive option and found several.  I loved this Tabletop Geometric Pentagon shaped glass terrarium, and this more traditional House Shaped Glass Terrarium that are both $25 on Amazon.

I also fell in love with these Glass Display Vase Terrariums that would look magnificent with a variety of succulents, ferns, and/or moss in them on a tabletop.  I found so many affordable options and ideas.

If you are looking to make your own live succulent terrarium, or include other plants in an open air “garden under glass”, check out this handbook for terrarium beginners.  This would be the perfect addition to your home decor that not only looks fabulous during springtime, but all year long.

Basket Weave Textured Throw Pillows

One of the many things that draws me into a Pottery Barn, is the decorative throw pillows gently placed on their generously fluffy sofas and chairs.  They know the perfect formula for mixing patterns, and colors, and textures with accessories.  It absolutely makes me want to pull out the credit cards and buy it all.

The nice thing about Pottery Barn’s throw pillows, is that you can change out the pillow covers and store away the ones you’re not using.  For instance, if you like to decorate for various holidays and seasons, you can purchase pillow covers for Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc and change out your pillow covers with the changing seasons.

Then, instead of having to store several large pillows which can take up a lot of space, all you have to store are the covers.

The downside of Pottery Barn throw pillows, is that they can be an investment.  The pillow inserts can be expensive, and come in either synthetic or feather down. The covers can also vary in price depending on the fabric and design.

For spring this year, I love the addition of this basketweave pattern.  The rustic-ness of burlap adds a touch of whimsy to the sofa. Almost like adding the texture of an Easter basket to your throw pillows.

Adding some brighter colored throw pillows and blankets to your seating areas, can also add a touch of spring.

What colors do you like to incorporate into you decor during springtime?  Do you love to add a touch a yellow, aqua, or pink to your home decor this time of year?

Here’s a neutral example of what they’ve done at Pottery Barn this year, that could easily balance pops of springtime color…

In this display, they’ve decorated with a lot of textures in white, cream, and beige.  They then added pops of color using aquamarine glass votives on the coffee table, along with succulents, terrariums, and photo books….which leads me to my next Pottery Barn inspired tip.

Aquamarine Glass Votives & Lanterns

I love the addition of aquamarine glass in the tablescape shown above.  Adding a pop of color, that you normally do not decorate with, can really spruce up your home for spring.

How about adding some yellow, or hot pinks?  You can add these colors by using floral pieces, artwork, or tabletop pieces similar to those shown here.

These Beach Chic Aqua Marine Artisanal Glass Hurricanes along with these Speckled Aqua Mercury Glass Votive Holders can add a pop of color to your living space for under $30 from Amazon.  Or, you could go to your local Pottery Barn and find these beauties…

Candles & Springtime Scents

I am passionate about “living Hygge”, and one way to add more cozy to your lifestyle is through candlelight and scents of the season.  Pottery Barn has several seasonally colored candles that are beautiful, like pictured above.  But, they also have these amazing flameless flickering candles, that look absolutely real without the “dangers” of lighting a real flame. These are great options if you want the look of candlelight, but also want to be safe especially if you have kids in your home.

I found a very similar set of Flameless Flickering Candles on Amazon that are battery operated and use a remote control.  And, they’re a fraction of the price of Pottery Barn’s, especially when you consider you get 3 in a set.  Wow!

Obviously, these flameless flickering candle ideas come unscented.  Pottery Barn’s home scents are some of my favorites.  They offer scents in candles, oil reed diffuser’s, and good old-fashioned potpourri.

What scents do you enjoy in the spring?  How do you infuse your home with coziness all year-long?

I hope you enjoyed this quick spring tour of my local Pottery Barn, and feel inspired as you begin to decorate your home for spring.  Will you make a succulent wreath or make your own terrarium garden this spring?  Or are you on the search for your new favorite spring time scent and candles?  Do you want to add a bit of color and whimsy to your home by adding pops of color and texture?
