To my husband on this Father’s Day, all I can say is, “thank you”. Thank you for loving me despite my faults, & being patient as we wait for our miracle. To my husband & all the husbands out there who are courageously standing by their wives as they battle infertility….Happy Father’s Day to you. ‘Daddies In Waiting’ are just as important and special as ‘Mommies In Waiting’. Here’s my salute to you…
Today I’d love to share with you our infertility journey. This journey is still ongoing, as we are still waiting for our “little blessings”. Although, our journey has been a long one (7+ years), we have learned so many amazing lessons along the way.
If you are in the process of “trying” to have a baby, or are knee-deep in fertility treatments, we understand what you’re going through. The process can be intrusive, unromantic, & extremely stressful.
Here’s our infertility journey including all the personal details that I know you’d be interested in (wink wink!), plus 7 Ways To Get Pregnant Naturally including some of my favorite fertility products. So, here goes…
There’s a new restaurant in town called Sedona Taphouse. We noticed it while driving home one night, and decided to check it out. Not only do they have Cactus Lemonade, 200+ beers on tap, award-winning clam chowder, and salted caramel cheesecake. But, they also offer a “Steak Out For Charity” special every Monday night where you get black angus steak, for only $7 and all proceeds go to a local charity. A delicious dinner that’s helping to support a local need, that’s also affordable…what could be better than that?!
Life lately has included lots of my favorite Date Days which includes Late Summer Nights at the Detroit Zoo. Every Wednesday night in the summer, the Detroit Zoo stays open late, there is a concert in the park, & we get to see the animals get ready for bed.
My husband and I were married on a crisp fall day in northern Michigan on a little island off the coast of Lake Huron called Mackinac Island. We planned our destination wedding in just 6 short weeks! I’ve listed our island vendors at the end of this post with links, along with bloopers from our big day!
There are many photos to enjoy along the way, so grab your latte, start some Michael Buble Love Songs on your Pandora radio, get comfy, and join me as I reminisce about our special day many Octobers ago…
There’s a verse that has been on my mind lately. I saw this verse recently on Instagram of all places and have had it saved on my phone for a while now. I was reminded of it the other day when I was, according to this verse, acting very foolish…
“The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish tear it down with her own hands.” Proverbs 14:1
Its an amazing responsibility we have, as the women in our households, to either build up our homes with encouragement, safety, and love…or do the exact opposite and tear it down with judgement, sarcasm, and anger.
One of my favorite date day ideas of all time, has to be baseball games at Comerica Park in Detroit, or “The D” as us Michiganders call it. In Detroit, we are pretty serious about our sports teams. We are nicknamed “Hockeytown” after all, but that has nothing to do with baseball, so we’ll leave hockey for another post.
Hi! Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! Pull up a comfy chair, grab your caramel macchiato, latte, mocha…whatever caffeinated goodness you love…and join me on this exciting journey.
My name is Stephanie and I can pretty much guarantee you’ll never see me without a Starbucks coffee in hand. I am a self proclaimed
