Just the other night we made the best chocolate chip cookies we’d ever had! We love to bake, especially during the colder months, and chocolate chip cookies are high on our list of favorite things. This recipe from Magnolia Table by Joanna Gaines is simply the best. I can’t wait for you and your family to try it!

Of course I love, love, LOVE Chip and Joanna Gaines! I love their design shows, their simple farm life, and practically anything and everything they lay their hands on. It is certainly on my bucket list to visit them in Waco, Texas one day at The Silos and enjoy brunch (and these cookies) at their restaurant, Magnolia Table.
Because of my love for all things Chip & Jo, Adam got me Joanna’s cookbook for my birthday last year. When I stumbled upon this chocolate chip cookie recipe again, and I just knew we had to try it.
So, I pulled out our trusty KitchenAid Mixer and all the ingredients and made these delectable cookies. Whipping the brown sugar and butter together until it became this sticky, caramel-looking mixture was quite satisfying. Then, after that, the rest of the dough came together relatively quickly.
I added a generous portion of chocolate chips (Nestle Tollhouse Semi-Sweet to be exact), and dropped them onto my cookie sheets. (BTW, I love using parchment paper for cookie baking to make clean up a breeze!). Once the cookies came out of the oven, they looked like something that would be served at a restaurant. They were gorgeous, and tasted even better. They filled our home with the coziest of smells. My husband said, “these are like crack!” I guess that means he approves!
So, sweet friend, pour yourself a big glass of milk and cozy up on the couch with a few of these stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth cookies, and you will have yourself the best day ever! Plus, these cookies are just as gooey and delicious days after making them! They are simply the best. Enjoy!
