Surprise Spooky Movie Night with Kids + FREE Printable Movie Tickets
At Christmastime, I love the tradition of surprising the kiddos with tickets for “Polar Express” and instead of sending them off to bed you jump in the car for a late night Christmas light drive in matching jammies while sipping hot cocoa. Or perhaps, slipping that golden ticket under their pillow and instead of them drifting off to sleep, you invite them out to a cozy fort in the living room to watch Polar Express the movie together near the fireplace.
Well, this simple family tradition is along the same lines. Print this spooky movie ticket and slip it to your kids similarly as you would the Polar Express tickets. This could mean you’re heading out for some spooky fun or that you’re going to do a cozy halloween movie marathon in the comfort of your own home.
I love movie marathons, especially during the holiday season since there are so many movies to get through in such a short amount of time, particularly if you’re movie fanatics like we are. Our nieces and nephews used to love coming over to our house during the halloween season for some pumpkin carving and crafts, and during their sleepover we’d build a giant fort using couch cushions and every blanket or sheet we could find. We’d all pile in there with our flashlights and watch movies together while downing half a ton of popcorn, of course.
Remember, fun family traditions can be simple and still be meaningful. Use the checklist below of our favorite halloween movies to plan your movie marathon. This would be a great activity to do on a rainy fall day as well, especially when paired with some fun matching halloween pajamas. #pajamaday
