This weekend we enjoyed one of our favorite fall traditions, a trip to Westview Orchards. We got lost in the corn maze, rode past fields upon fields of pumpkins, downed a couple of cinnamon sugar donuts and plenty of cider, and picked apples galore!
A visit to Westview Orchards is one of our favorite fall traditions, and look forward to it every year. What fall activities does your family love to do together? If you are in the area, we’d highly recommend one of the famed Michigan cider mills like Westview, Blake’s, Spicer, or Yates. Each is unique in their own way, but offers hours and hours of family fun.

Westview Orchards & Winery
We visit Westview Orchards every year with our nieces and nephews because of the plethora of things for kids to do from the gorgeous and creative play equipment, to the petting farm, to the hay mountain, and the jumbo slide. There’s a Dark Hole “spooky-ish” house that make you dizzy beyond belief, and apple canons where you can practice your aim.
Admission is $10.50 per person to enjoy all the family fun, including the Jumbo Jump Pad and the miniature Spookly Pumpkin Hay Maze. U-pick pumpkins and apples cost a bit more, but include wagon rides around the beautiful farm, through fall foliage, and past rows of pumpkins and apple trees.
We hadn’t picked apples in years, and decided to try it again on this fall adventure. My sister, Brianna, and I filled little personal-sized bags (1/4 peck to be exact) for $6. We chose Golden Delicious, Macintosh, & Red Gala…as well as sampled a few off the trees. I have some special plans for my apples, that I’ll share with you later.
Here are some pictures of our fun fall adventure. If you live nearby or coming for a visit to Michigan during autumn, Westview is a must-see, #puremichigan experience.
The Corn Maze
After playing at the family fun farm, we boarded a tractor ride to take us out to the corn maze. It’s the only time in my life when I’m actually excited to get “lost”. And, I get lost a lot! Ha!
The Main Cider Barn & The Black Hole
The main cider barn is the place to load up on donuts and fresh-pressed cider. But, first we have to walk through the black hole a few times. It’s my version of a “haunted house”…no haunts, but still dark, scary, and disorienting. You just have to try it. I don’t want to spoil it for ya!
The Apple Orchard
After a quick bathroom break, we boarded another wagon to head out to the apple orchard. We were so excited to pick ourselves some apples. Brianna is pretty excited to make an apple pie this year!
The Petting Farm
We always visit the petting farm last, but it’s one of our favorite things. Westview even offers goat yoga from time to time. We got to feed the goats, big ole rabbits, temperamental sheep, and more.
